Helpless Hanuman

The extended version of caste politics

With the last few days of 2019 left and the last few months left for the 2019 general elections, the aroma of politics is spreading fast across our country.
Lord Ram has always been dear to our politics but today, his able disciple Hanuman known as Bajrangbali has also been dragged in the biggest festival of 5 years, the general elections. MahaKumbh happens in every 12 years but this festival of election is far more interesting and exuberant then the MahaKumbh.
The reason of my saying so is the series of interesting views expressed by some of our politicians in the bygone days. Yogi Adityanath is so much influenced by Lord Ram's name that now he is chanting his able disciple's name as well. Aditya Nath while addressing a recent rally during Rajasthan elections said that Lord Hanuman was a Dalit. I would like to ask the babbler CM Yogi, was he a SC or a ST. Another question which erupts in my mind is whether Lord Hanuman also received more than 22% reservation to reach so closer to the heart of Lord Ram just as the dalits in India get to avail seats in education Institutions. Questions are loyal as the statement is doubtful.
Mr Yogi played this political gimmick to garner votes of sc's and st's in Rajasthan although BJP lost the seat of Alwar rural where he gave this weird statement. I think his gimmick backfired on BJP rather than being a trump card statement for its win.
Giving a fresh boot to the controversy over Hanuman's caste Union Minister Satyapal Singh said that Hanuman was a arya as it  was the only prevalent class at that time. He added that if you read Ramcharitra Manas, you will come to know that this caste divide was not present in the text of Valmiki. His statement raises the question that the person who has been chanting Ram Naam and Ram Mandir has not read Ramcharitramanas from where Ram came to be known in this Kalyug. I would like to suggest Mr.Satyapal to go and convince his political colleague Yogi Adityanath.
The Mahabharata over Mahabali became more averse when UPS cabinet minister termed Hanuman as Jatt, a community predominant in Central India. Jatts in Rajasthan Got OBC reservation which means that they got so because they belong to the community of Mahabali himself as the parties feared from the wrath of Bajrangi.
The most spicy of the statements over Hanuman came from BJP MLC Bukkal Nawab who termed Hanuman as a Muslim. Further he said the names like Irfan, Zeeshan, Rahman are based on different names of Hanuman in Islam. I wonder then how does the famous Bajrang Dal who profess Hindu rights is named after a Muslim as has been turned by BJP's MLC. I wonder whether he was a Muslim or not but surely the name of Hanuman has led Bukkal Nawab catch some camera lenses and fleshes.
Then what Hanuman really was? We have been listening in spiritual tales and through holy books that Hanuman was an able discipline of Ram. I don't think anyone had ever thought what the caste of Hanuman would have been when we heard about him. We have heard that Hanuman was someone who swallowed the sun,  carried the Sanjeevani Booti on his hand to save Laxman, the one who burnt Lanka and the one in whose heart Ram and Sita always live. Then from where the theories of Hanuman being a Dalit, Jat, Muslim arrive. This passage of time from Treta Yug To Kalyug has made us ponder the cast of Hanuman. If NASA scientist are also paid to find caste of Hanuman, they would fail but our all rounder politicians have found the caste of Hanuman. Instead of doing this research they should focus or do research about the problems faced by people. Insted of solving this mystery, they should solve the mysteries like why poor are becoming more poor, why are the people not getting their promised jobs, why are Kisan committing suicides, why are the women not safe and plethora of other problems of people.
Today helpless Lord Hanuman might have went to his mother Anjali to ask about his caste after seeing the repeated news bulletins on televisions these days. It is possible that some BJP politician say that since he was a dalit,  the Pujari of Hanuman Mandir would be a dalit. They have failed to provide employment to people, at least this might provide them now. If Pakoda seller is a employed person according to Mr Modi, pujari is also one.
Don't be surprised if any BJP politician or any politician would say tomorrow that Mahadev was a Brahmin or Vishnu was a Vaishya, Lord Brahma the creator God Was a kshatriya. The politics of caste and the politics of religion can make every God belong to a particular caste.
The popular Meme showing that because BJP made politics over Hanuman's caste, it got defeated on Tuesday itself, the day worshipped for hanuman. This means, if BJP will continue to attach caste to gods,  it will lose in every elections as each day is worshipped by one god or the other in our country.
